Highlights of 2017

And just like that, the first month of 2018 is officially over! Before I lag too far behind with my yearly tradition, here's a list of significant and memorable moments that happened last year.

Swam in open sea without a life vest! This is one huge achievement for me because for the longest time, I didn't know how to swim! Ryan taught me little by little how to tread in water and I was absolutely ecstatic that I was finally able to do it!

Jumped off a waterfall. Another thing I'm afraid of is heights. I tried to forget about my fear and forced myself to jump and let go. An adrenaline pumping experience that was loads of fun!

Did a headstand! Practiced doing this every day for two straight weeks and I'm glad I was able to do it! To be perfectly honest, I never thought I could. I guess perseverance pays off!

Scored 94 points in bowling. Joined a sports fest last May and players for bowling were badly needed. Lo and behold, the next thing I knew my name was on the list! Haven't touched a bowling ball for ten years so I didn't expect that I would get a 94. Not bad, right?

Survived -30 degrees Celsius. For a person who can't tolerate the cold coming out of the regular AC, staying out in the cold at -30 degrees is a great feat! Wore lots and lots of layers though to keep me warm.

Spent one year in the family business. Learned a lot last year regarding leadership and decision making when I joined the family business. It definitely wasn't easy but I learned some things that I would never have learned if I stayed in corporate.

Last year was all about conquering my fears and going out of my comfort zone. I wonder what what's in store for me for 2018?
