Downtown San Francisco

At last, I can finally share some photos from our latest US trip! We went to the East Coast in our previous visit, so this time, we decided to stay in the West Coast for two full weeks! First stop was San Francisco!

Our first day was purely sightseeing. We rode the train going to Union Square and walked all the way to Chinatown. We then dropped by Lombard St. to take photos, had lunch at Fisherman's Wharf, then rode the cable car back to Powell St.

Although some trains looked and smelled old (lol), you can go practically anywhere in the Bay Area by riding the BART!

So many beautiful buildings surrounding Union Square!

Lombard Street is popular for being the crookedest street in the world. Because of its steepness, eight sharp turns were built so cars would have an easier time going down.

My earliest memory of San Francisco's cable cars was when I watched Princess Diaries, where Mia (Anne Hathaway) accidentally hit one of them while driving. I was overjoyed that I finally got to ride one after all this time!

That pretty much sums up our first day. We were completely exhausted and still quite jet lagged so we had a quick dinner at the mall then headed back to the hotel.
