Browhaus: Introducing the Brow Resurrection 2.4

IMG_6345

A few weeks ago, Browhaus invited me to witness the newest version of Brow Resurrection -- the version 2.4. For those who don't know, Brow Resurrection is a semi-permanent eyebrow treatment that will give you the brow shape you've always wanted (no more lining and shaping your brows in the morning!). This is recommended for those who have thin and shapeless brows (like me!), and also those who have thick and unruly brows.

Marj and Jirbie were among the ones who underwent the Brow Resurrection. This photo was taken before the treatment.

The first step is to line the eyebrows using a pencil to get the shape you want. Of course, this is done by a trained therapist.

The next step is to apply numbing cream/topical anesthesia so the entire procedure would be pain-free!

After letting the skin absorb the numbing cream, it's time for the main event! A blade is used to apply the dye and create natural strokes on the brows. I was pretty freaked out when I saw this but they say it looks scarier than how it actually is (hard to believe, I know). According to them, yes, it's a bit uncomfortable, but absolutely pain-free. I guess there's only one way to find out!

After the treatment, you'll be given this camera kit containing all the products you need to maintain your perfect brows.

I was so glad to see a familiar face at the event! Meet Hershey--we used to go to the same school lol.

The bloggers were treated to a session of Browgraphy, which includes eyebrow threading and color tweak. My hair was dyed light brown (as if it wasn't obvious in my photos lol) so I've been wanting to try the color tweak. The photo below shows what happens after a color tweak (it's a bit exaggerated in my opinion, but I hope you get the idea). Basically, you want your eyebrows to match your hair color, but keep in mind that they don't have to be in the exact same shade, else it might look unnatural.

My eyebrows were dyed one shade lighter and I'm not sure if it was a right move on my part. As I said earlier, I have very thin eyebrows and after dying them, they looked as if they're non-existent! My therapist already warned me against this but I still insisted. In truth, I wasn't really worried because I was told that the color would last only a few weeks, and hello, there's always eyebrow pencil! I still came out of the salon very satisfied with the treatment. :)

Each branch has a totally unique theme. Cool, right? In their Lucky Chinatown branch, the theme is camping. But my favorite is the one in Greenbelt, where the entire place looked like a submarine!

This is how it looks inside each camping tent.

I don't have an after pic of those who underwent the Brow Resurrection, but here's a group photo of all of us. Notice that Marj (rightmost) and Jirbie (third from right, wearing florals) now have more defined brows.

Thank you so much Tab and Monique for inviting us! It was loads of fun chatting with you guys!
