Anilao 2017

When asked about my ideal getaway, only one place comes to mind-- the beach! Nothing really beats relaxing under the sun and staring into the horizon while listening to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore with a glass of ice cold drink in hand. I feel so excited just by thinking about it! Lol.

Last May, I went to Anilao with a couple of friends and stayed there for one night. We didn't get to do a lot of stuff because an overnight stay wasn't enough! We did some snorkeling though (one thing you shouldn't miss when you're in Anilao!), played beach volleyball, and took advantage of the unlimited use of kayaks at the resort (we stayed at Anilao Awari Bay). Aaand this place will forever hold a special place in my heart because this is where I first learned how to swim and be comfortable in a 15ft pool! (I just recently started learning how to swim lol.)

The Farm at San Benito: Pools!

Of course, a relaxing getaway wouldn't be complete without a refreshing swim! The Farm actually has quite a number of pools-- the South Pool, the infinity pool by the spa, and the man-made waterfalls. And don't forget the private heated pools if you book the Narra Villas!

The best part of our stay here was there weren't a lot of people. We rarely saw other guests-- it felt like we had the entire place all to ourselves!

Boracay 2016

My most relaxing trip to date (and probably my favourite) was my trip to Boracay with friends last June. Since all of us have been to Boracay countless times before, we didn't feel the need to explore the place and try the water activities. Every day, we had the same routine - get up at 10am, grab breakfast at the hotel, relax inside our hotel room for a few hours, get a late lunch, chill by the beach while having afternoon snacks and drinks, swim during sunset, and then grab an early dinner. I've never felt so relaxed in my life! I think I want to make this a yearly tradition. Who's with me? Lol.

Yellow

2014 05 May0839

This particular day, at around 3pm, was the highlight of my Boracay trip. There was a sunset party at Station 1 so I, together with Ryan, met up with a couple of friends. We ate, talked, swam, and laughed. It was loads of fun! Later that afternoon, we bumped into more friends -- friends from school, friends from church, friends of friends, the list goes on! Almost everybody I know was in Boracay for that weekend. Too bad our flight was scheduled the next day, I would've loved to stay longer in that island! :)

May Day

2014 05 May0635

I happily spent the first day of May in the shores of Boracay with my closest friends, and it was such an unforgettable experience! This was my first out-of-town trip with college friends, and I loved every minute of it! How I wish the trip would've lasted longer! When we arrived, we were surprised by the horrendous amount of seaweed in the water (see photos). From what I remember, they weren't this many when I last went there.

The island is becoming more and more polluted as time goes by. Some people prefer going to Palawan these days because of the clearer waters and the more peaceful surroundings. Despite the pollution, the noise and all that, Boracay is still pretty amazing. I enjoyed walking on the fine, white sands and staring into the horizon. And when the sun sets, that's when all the craziness starts. The entire island goes into party mode!

Shoutout to Banana Peel for sending me slippers from their newest collections and for the exciting paraw ride!

Bershka Opening x Antony Morato Launch x I Love Koi - Strip Fashion Show

DSC_2549
Two Thursdays ago was my busiest night as a blogger. First, there was the Bershka opening party at Glorietta 2 where the music of Taken by Cars entertained the guests. Eve Speciall who flew in from Hong Kong then took over and played her beats. She was followed by another DJ-slash-international blogger from Madrid, Prince Pelayo. Btw, check his post about Manila here. Anyway, the store was filled with people to the point that it was very hard to move around. Decent shots from my bulky camera would have been impossible, so I relied on my friend's camera for photos. Thank you Sef! Phya and I bumped into our friend Iya during the party, which explains the photo above.

After this event, I attended another launch. This time it was an Italian menswear brand called Antony Morato. Their first ever branch here in the Philippines is located at Alabang Town Center. I wasn't able to stay long enough for the fashion show because I had to go to another event at Prive Luxury Club. But I found their collections pretty cool, I must say. Looking forward for the opening of more branches in Manila!

The last event for the night was the Strip x I Love Koi bikini fashion show. PMAP models sashayed down the runway wearing I Love Koi's newest swimwear designs. The show started really late, around past midnight and you could see that the people were getting restless. Good thing the event was hosted by Tricia Centenera, Sam YG, and the other guys from Boys Night Out --- Slick Rick and Dj Tony Toni. They were so funny and made everything worth the wait. Some of my favorites from the fashion show are posted here, just click the link below! :)
