CBTL 2017 Giving Journal Launch

It's that time of the year again when we start eyeing planners for next year-- seriously one of my favourite things to do! I literally can't live without a planner because I'm a planning freak-- I have to plan things ahead of time. I can't help it lol.

I recently attended the launch of The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf's 2017 Giving Journal at Greenbelt 5. Unlike other planners, CBTL's Giving Journal promotes goodwill and social responsibility in the community. Read on to find out how.

Strip Manila's IPL ACE Review

IMG_6915

I've been to Browhaus several times because it's my favorite when it comes to eyebrow threading but this was my first time availing the services of Strip. They certainly lived up to their standards -- the entire process was fast, hygienic, and pain-free (except for that one teeny tiny second, but I'll get to that later).

IPL ACE is the latest technology in hair removal, and apparently, at Strip, it comes with lightening and tightening. I was lucky to be offered to try the service on my underarms. Read more about my experience after the break.

BeautyBook.ph Launch

IMG_6100

I was very fortunate to have been invited to the launch of BeautyBook, an online source of beauty tips and fashion advice from experts. There, you can find beauty regimens, fashion forward advice, and makeup trends for all types of women. Tried-and-tested beauty products provided on the site would come in useful for those who are looking for something new to add to their list of beauty essentials.

Every month, BeautyBook invites online experts to give you the best insights in beauty and fashion. It covers hair care (Hair Story), skin care (Skin Ever After), fashion and makeup (Magic Glam), and a listing of the best beauty bargains (The Royal Treatment). Check it out for yourself - beautybook.ph.

The launch was held at Sala Bistro at Greenbelt 3 and was hosted by the gorgeous Laica Turingan. They invited makeup artist Ning to give us an overview of this season's fashion and makeup trends. She did a short makeup demo on my friend Phya showing us a natural daytime look. While in the middle of a conversation, I was so surprised when I was called to be the model for the hair styling demonstration. Ning showed us how to achieve beach waves without using intense heat or chemicals by simply twisting the hair and making it into a bun. The launch really raised my expectations of the site and guess what, it didn't disappoint. :)

Pastels

How was your long weekend everyone?

Our internet connection just got up and working this afternoon so I wasn't able to post anything here during the weekend. It's so great to be able to blog again! Now on to my outfit, I've been meaning to wear pastels for the longest time and ta-daa, here it is! The top and the shorts are practically the only pastel pieces I have in my closet. To focus the attention on the colors, I kept the accessories at a minimum, just a pearl detachable collar and pearl earrings.

Spent the afternoon in Greenbelt with friends, had lunch at Bulgogi Brothers, watched The Amazing Spiderman and stayed at Spicy Fingers afterwards. I'm not into Korean cuisine but I'm happily satisfied with the food served in Bulgogi Brothers, even came back there around a week ago! If you liked my page on Facebook or if you're a Twitter/Instagram follower, you'll probably remember my post on the Korean fish ice cream? That was in Bulgogi Brothers!

If you're wondering who took the photos for this post it might be me, Adson, Phya, Ryan, Fran or the waiters in the restaurants. I just can't tell which took which. Haha.

Girls' Night Out

Had a fabulous night out with my girlfriends at Greenbelt! First time we were able to go out since summer break. I'm wearing my hair extensions from 1721 (tutorial on that next time!). Don't you just love it? It makes my hair look longer and wavy in an instant! I'm also really happy about my white Lacoste bag. I can wear it anywhere- whether I'm trying to work the sporty look or even to casual nights out like this one. The size of the bag fits my taste perfectly. Currently, I'm digging bigger ones like this because I like being able to bring lots of stuff whenever I go out. What about you, what kind of bags are you into right now?

Thanks Phya for the photos! (Btw, join her blog giveaway!)
