Errand Day

While we were in Makati for an errand, I asked my boyfriend Ryan to take a photo of me so I could post it on Instagram. I was surprised because he immediately started snapping dozens of photos-- lucky day! I don't want to flood anybody's Instagram feed so I decided to post the rest of the photos here. :)

Road trip to Arizona

Vegas is amazing at night, but there really isn't much to do during daytime. So to make the most out of our stay, on our second day we went on a road trip to the Grand Canyon and stopped by Hoover Dam and Sedona on the way.

It was scorching hot in Vegas so I wore a light and breezy top but regretted my decision later on because it got real chilly at the Grand Canyon!

Waking Up in Vegas

After four full days in San Francisco, we took a flight to Las Vegas. I never realized how close the two cities were. Turns out they were just an hour-and-a-half plane ride apart!

Strange Adventurer

I've been itching to travel for a long time so when the opportunity arose, I immediately took it. Last February, I chanced upon a sale in Cebu Pacific and found out that the plane fare to Taipei was insanely cheap. I didn't think twice and immediately bought tickets! It was an excellent destination because, first, Taiwan is only a two-hour plane ride from Manila, and second, one of my closest friends from college is actually staying near Taipei! We could definitely meet up there, I thought. Another one of my friends from college, Phya, (who's also a blogger!) decided to join us later on. Awesome!

We left Manila on a Thursday night, and arrived back in the Philippines early Monday morning (so technically, we just missed a day of work). There were lots of things planned for our first day in Taipei so I made sure to bring comfortable clothes. This was what I wore on our first day. Photos of the places we visited and the adventures we had on my next posts!

Break Free

IMG_9916

How is everybody doing on the second week of 2015? As for me, I'll be starting work for a company I really like. This will be my very first job so I"m really excited! Hope everything goes well. Wish me luck!

P.S. Just so you know, I didn't wear this outfit to work! Lol. The company has a strict dress code that requires us to wear corporate attire every day. I don't have a lot of corporate pieces in my closet but I'm not complaining because this only means one thing -- shopping!

Mint Kinda Day

IMG_9464

This was one of those lazy days when I just didn't know what to wear. Since this was on a weekend, I wanted a laid-back, no fuss outfit -- one that was easy to move around in. I decided to go for the crop top + shorts combo, which is one of the type of outfits I love wearing. This mint top from H&M and high waisted shorts from Pull & Bear gave me the look I was going for!

Lady on My Shirt

IMG_8116

I'm a huge sucker for no-brainer outfits. Believe it or not, I'm very comfortable just wearing a simple top plus shorts or jeans.

Everyone can definitely pull off this look! If you feel that your top is too bulky that it hides your curves, show more skin by wearing shorts or a skirt, instead of pants. To add more oomph to your outfit, why not toss in a pair of heels? Wearing heels in the same color as your skin as well as those without ankle straps gives the illusion of longer, leaner legs.

The Sun is Shining

IMG_6318

Despite my whole summer being preoccupied with internship, I still had the chance to enjoy the sun in a secluded resort in Batangas. The place is called Cintai Corito's Garden, a Balinese-inspired sanctuary located at Balete, Batangas, just an hour and a half from Manila. We stayed there for one night which gave us just enough time to see the whole place. I'll be showing you a few photos of the resort in a separate post.

I barely had time to pack my things for this trip so I just "guessed" which clothes would go together. A safe choice was a breezy top and shorts hence the look. I spotted these jelly sandals from Cotton On a week before and thought that it would be a great alternative for the usual flip flops during summer.

One Summer Day

IMG_0976

This would be a perfect outfit to wear to the beach, minus the wedges, of course. But the problem is my whole summer is preoccupied with internships. I'm having my hospital internship this month and soon I'll be staying in Antipolo (roughly a 2-hour ride from Manila) for my manufacturing internship this May. We are required to finish two hundred working hours for each area, and this will take up my entire summer. So you see, I don't have time to bask under the sun, swim and just do whatever other people are doing right now. It's so hot here in the city and everyday I can't help but think about the fun  my friends are having in various places around the world.

BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS... I'm finally graduating this October!!! I'm sure all my hardships and sacrifices would be worth it once I receive my diploma. And an additional "RPh" after my name wouldn't hurt either. :)

The Classic Button Down

The button down is such a classic piece! I'm sure you considered of buying one at one point in your life. But before buying one, just like any other piece of clothing, make sure that the fit is right for you. I've had enough ill-fitting ones and trust me, it does make a big difference. You just have to look hard enough for the perfect one for you! What I love about button downs is that you can wear it with anything you want: be it printed shorts, floral skirt, or denim jeans, you name it! Its versatility makes it a must have in every girl's closet. And if you're an avid reader of my blog, you know I'm a sucker for classic pieces!

The Girl in Pink

I told you in one of my posts that I'm not usually a fan of pink, but right now I can't get enough of it! Next color to love: red! I've always found the color red unflattering. Last night, I was looking for something red to wear on a birthday celebration. And being the Chinese that I am, we are required (not really required, but more of highly recommended) to wear red on birthdays. I didn't find a single one on my wardrobe. Hmm, does red-orange count? Haha.

Pastels

How was your long weekend everyone?

Our internet connection just got up and working this afternoon so I wasn't able to post anything here during the weekend. It's so great to be able to blog again! Now on to my outfit, I've been meaning to wear pastels for the longest time and ta-daa, here it is! The top and the shorts are practically the only pastel pieces I have in my closet. To focus the attention on the colors, I kept the accessories at a minimum, just a pearl detachable collar and pearl earrings.

Spent the afternoon in Greenbelt with friends, had lunch at Bulgogi Brothers, watched The Amazing Spiderman and stayed at Spicy Fingers afterwards. I'm not into Korean cuisine but I'm happily satisfied with the food served in Bulgogi Brothers, even came back there around a week ago! If you liked my page on Facebook or if you're a Twitter/Instagram follower, you'll probably remember my post on the Korean fish ice cream? That was in Bulgogi Brothers!

If you're wondering who took the photos for this post it might be me, Adson, Phya, Ryan, Fran or the waiters in the restaurants. I just can't tell which took which. Haha.

Chill Out

Hello guys!

It's been a while since my last post. It's because things are starting to get really busy in school. I can't afford to be lazy nowadays. Haha. Anyway, I feel so lucky I spotted this fabulous top in Mango during their end of season sale! What's amazing about this is you can sport a casual look by wearing it with shorts, or go for a more elegant look when paired with a nice skirt.  Notice my pearl black bangle on my lefts wrist? Bianca of Twinkies Inc. sent me this, together with the collar necklace I blogged about here (thanks Bianca!). It can transform your look from simple to classy! Do you agree? :) Click the button below to browse more photos.

Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2012 Outfit

Photobucket

Separated the photos for the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta because they're too many, I'm afraid it will take too long when loading a page. So here's the post on my outfit!

I made sure I'm wearing something comfortable for the day. I brought a scarf just in case it became chilly, giving enough warmth and coverage but occupying just an itsy bitsy space in my bag.  I anticipated that we'll be walking a lot so I wore combat boots! It was so dusty, I went there wearing black boots and came home in brownish vintage boots (you'll notice this if you look close enough), haha! It was a fun experience, partly because of the hot air balloons and the places we've been, but mostly because of my friends! :)

3rd day of the Year!

These photos were just taken last month but it seems that they were from ages ago. This is probably due to the huge amount of school work I've been drowning myself recently. The good part? No more exams til next week. (Yay!)

I think this was the second time Ryan and I were able to go out after he came back from France. We ate at PB Co. Can't wait to eat there again, I'm actually craving their peanut butter sandwiches while I'm writing this post! Haha.

Kid At Heart- Universal Studios Singapore

Since I was a kid, my favorite part of going abroad is visiting amusement parks. I just love experiencing the thrill of being in those extremely scary rides. Oh, which reminds me, I have to go back there to ride the Battlestar Galactica, I hadn't had the chance to ride it. I won't ever get tired of going to these places! The bucket list of the adventure-seeking me include: ride roller coasters which hold world records, bungee jumping (Okay, I totally chickened out when I was in Macau tower, but I promised myself it won't happen again), sky diving, skiing, surfing (and windsurfing does not count!) to name a few.

P.S. Sorry, I wasn't able to update this blog regularly. School work is INSANE right now. :)
P.P.S. I will be removing the link of this blog to my Facebook profile because I see my Facebook profile as really personal and I don't like bugging people to check my blog just because it always appears on their news feed. For those of you who are really interested in reading my blog, typing my URL in the address bar won't hurt, right? Til next time! :)
