Birthday Girl

IMG_1011

It came as a big surprise when my parents asked me if I wanted to spend my birthday in Singapore. Well, why not? We spent three days there, mostly just eating and shopping. Lol. If I remember correctly, this was my fourth visit to Singapore. I didn't actually expect that I'd still be amazed at how beautiful the place is. And everything's just so efficient and organized! I mean, in my entire stay, I didn't see any traffic in the streets. In fact, it's very fast and easy to travel from one place to another. And plants are everywhere, even in the busiest of streets!

I had a simple dinner with my parents on my birthday at Pizzeria Mozza in Marina Bay Sands (review coming soon!). Thinking that the weather in Singapore would be the same in Manila (back when it wasn't raining that much yet), I packed only thin and lightweight pieces. Wrong move! It was chillier there, and it rained everyday during our stay. It was lucky that the rain only lasted a few hours each time, so we were still able to go around the city.

Overexposed

IMG_5123

Whenever I'm not attending events, I'm usually dressed in simple, comfortable clothes like this (sans the heels, of course). After all, I prefer comfort over style. Most of the time, I choose to wear a shirt-and-jeans or a top-and-skirt combo, coupled with messy hair and no makeup. I skip makeup as much as possible, although I did apply a little BB cream and eyeliner on the day these photos were taken. In my opinion, how you look and what you wear don't matter as much, so long as you're confident in your own skin! Don't make a big fuss on what other people think, it's what you think about yourself that matters. :)

Sparkle and Shine

My friend Phya and I attended this event in Sofitel with the theme Brazilian Samba. I had a hard time thinking of what to wear so I settled in wearing a sequined top with my Oasap skirt. Btw, I've been meaning to show you a photo of me wearing hair extensions from 1721 and finally I have a decent one! Click the button below to see a closer view of my hair. It's because I usually wear my extensions at night and the photos don't look that good. What do you think of my look? :)

Pink stripes

This outfit makes me think of summer because of its playful colors. When dressing up, I usually start with one piece of clothing, then build my whole outfit around it. This time, I started out with this striped skirt and decided that it would look great with a basic white tank. I added this anchor cropped jacket to make it look more polished and finished it off with my turquoise wedges. When choosing which accessories to wear, make sure they go well with the rest of your outfit. For instance, if you're wearing a rocker outfit, you can choose accessories with studs, spikes or metallics.

Preppy

I don't have a lot of photos to show you this time guys. The only decent ones I have are the ones when I was sitting on the floor. We were supposed to take pictures of me standing up so you can see my complete outfit but it started raining and the wind was getting really strong. This was one of the times when it's very hot and sunny one minute and rainy the next. You just can't predict the weather these days in Manila. I'm in a hurry so I gotta go! :) Watch out for my future outfit posts!

Prim and Proper

I was supposed to wear this top with shorts but figured that it can also be paired with this nude colored peplum skirt and a collar necklace for a prim and proper look.

I received this collar necklace from Twinkies Inc just last Tuesday, together with a really nice black bangle. They sell very trendy but affordable pieces so I suggest you visit their online shop. Hurry, better check out their stuff before they run out!

P.S. It was annoyingly windy when these photos were taken. So, yeah.

Colorful Summer

I do not have that much colorful pieces in my wardrobe because I'm more into neutral colors- black, white, brown, beige, cream and navy blue are all you can see in my closet. But since it's summer and this time comes only once a year, I practically pulled out the most colorful things I can find in my closet and put all of them together in one whole look. What do you think?  :)

Enjoy your summer guys!
