While we were in Makati for an errand, I asked my boyfriend Ryan to take a photo of me so I could post it on Instagram. I was surprised because he immediately started snapping dozens of photos-- lucky day! I don't want to flood anybody's Instagram feed so I decided to post the rest of the photos here. :)

Boracay in December Day 2
On day two, we had a little bit of time in the morning for some water activities! We tried parasailing, flyfish (my fave!), and helmet diving. The weather was surprisingly good despite it being the rainy season.

Highlights of 2016
(Photo from: Google)
Happy New Year, everyone! The year 2016 was my happiest ever, yet one of the most challenging. There were lots of disappointments, frustrations, and challenges that tested me and pushed me to my limits. But the past year was also filled with one-of-a-kind opportunities, memorable achievements, and unforgettable experiences which I'll be forever thankful for.
Last year, I made a promise to myself that I would make 2016 my travel year and I'm glad I was able to do it! Since I couldn't leave work for a long time, I decided it was better for me to have shorter but more frequent trips. There were so many things that made my 2016 amazing and I couldn't possibly list all of them here, but I'll do my best to cover everything!
Read on for the highlights of my 2016!

Stripes
Long time no outfit post! Lol. So anyway, this is what I wore to Clean Reserve's media luncheon at Blackbird. I've been wearing this pair of shoes a lot lately, especially in the office. Although it's not as high as I originally preferred, it's super comfortable, I can run around, and can even wear it all day long!

Hongkong Adventure
I thought I had already seen everything there is to see in Hong Kong considering that I've been there a couple of times when I was younger. Apparently not! My friends took us wakeboarding off the coast of Hong Kong (Sai Kung), and this time, while being pulled by a speedboat instead of a cable! How awesome is that?
It was terribly cold when we went wakeboarding, which only means I have to come back during summer!

Strange Adventurer
I've been itching to travel for a long time so when the opportunity arose, I immediately took it. Last February, I chanced upon a sale in Cebu Pacific and found out that the plane fare to Taipei was insanely cheap. I didn't think twice and immediately bought tickets! It was an excellent destination because, first, Taiwan is only a two-hour plane ride from Manila, and second, one of my closest friends from college is actually staying near Taipei! We could definitely meet up there, I thought. Another one of my friends from college, Phya, (who's also a blogger!) decided to join us later on. Awesome!
We left Manila on a Thursday night, and arrived back in the Philippines early Monday morning (so technically, we just missed a day of work). There were lots of things planned for our first day in Taipei so I made sure to bring comfortable clothes. This was what I wore on our first day. Photos of the places we visited and the adventures we had on my next posts!

Keeping Up With Tradition

It has always been our tradition to wear red every Chinese New Year. This year, it was on the 19th of February, but we didn't have anything planned on that day since we already celebrated the night before (New Year's Eve). I still wanted to dress up and wear something special though. For what reason? I'm not sure exactly. To kickstart the year, perhaps. So far, my 2015 has been awesome! How about yours?

Orange You Glad

I love wearing jeans on a regular day. Aside from being extra comfortable, I can move around all day without any inhibitions! Contrary to popular belief, jeans don't always have to be boring. In this outfit, I spiced things up a bit by wearing statement sunglasses and a sling bag in a bright color.

Boom Clap

Hi guys! Posting pictures different from the usual. I wanted to try out the vintage lomo-ish vibe and see if it would work.
I've always been a fan of loose clothing for lazy days but I usually try to balance it out. If I wear a loose top, I choose a short skirt or shorts to go with it. And when I wear maxi skirts and loose pants, I opt for either a body hugging top or a top with cutouts. But it seems loose on loose works just as great! Don't you agree?

Floral Fantasies

My go-to outfit for lazy days consists of a long, breezy top, denim cut-offs, comfy shoes, and of course, sunglasses! Now that I've entered the corporate world and have a nine-to-six job, I always make sure I spend my weekends the best way possible. On some days, I like doing something physical like hiking, jogging, wake boarding, or exploring new places. But there are also days when I just want to relax--listen to music, take a stroll in the park, or read a book in a coffee shop.

Midnight Memories

How was your long weekend everyone? I can probably say mine was very productive: I cleaned up my work table, watched a PBA game live for the first time, pushed through with some meetings, went to the gym, caught up with my backlogs, and had some quiet 'me' time. (One thing I regret though is not seeing the Pope :((( ).
Before starting work again tomorrow, here's an ootd that's perfect for attending cocktail parties and events! Tip: Try wearing a thin belt over some dresses to get that hourglass figure. It works wonders!

Mustard

This dress came in the mail last Christmas. I was pretty stoked when I opened the package because I didn't own a dress in that color yet! It looks a bit ordinary from the front, but wait 'til you see the back! The lace detail added a sophisticated twist and made the dress more fun and adventurous! Don't you think so too?

Break Free

How is everybody doing on the second week of 2015? As for me, I'll be starting work for a company I really like. This will be my very first job so I"m really excited! Hope everything goes well. Wish me luck!
P.S. Just so you know, I didn't wear this outfit to work! Lol. The company has a strict dress code that requires us to wear corporate attire every day. I don't have a lot of corporate pieces in my closet but I'm not complaining because this only means one thing -- shopping!

Highlights of 2014
(Photo from google.com)
You've probably already heard this a thousand times, but let me say it again: Happy New Year everyone! The past year was nothing short of amazing for me! Looking back, it was probably the best year I've ever had! I learned new things, travelled to different places, met new friends, and achieved many things. There were definitely a lot of firsts! But all of that wouldn't have been possible without all of you! So I want to thank you all for being a big part of my 2014. I feel truly blessed and I'm very grateful for all the opportunities that were given to me the past year.
Let me share with you some of the things that made my 2014 special!

Kenneth Cole Watches Holiday Collection

Despite the number of errands and appointments I had that day, I managed to somehow make it to the launch of Kenneth Cole New York's Holiday 2014 timepiece collection. The event was at lunchtime at the Makati Shangrila Hotel (fortunately I was in the area!). Attire was corporate chic, so I wore this black, asymmetrical skirt and threw in this denim button down for a more laid back and relaxed vibe. Of course, this outfit wouldn't be complete without my trusty black heels from Michael Kors!

Just Do It

Going to the gym has become part of my lifestyle ever since I started out as a member at Fitness First, roughly 3 years ago. I work out 1-2 times a week, which, I know, isn't enough. But definitely much better than not working out at all, right? It's probably the reason why up to now, I still don't have the body I'm aiming for (VS body, anyone?).
When I realized that this was going to be a long-term thing and not just a phase, I started investing in workout clothes! I kept buying more and more, that one day, I was surprised to see that my gym clothes were starting to take over my closet! Case in point: I now have more gym pants than denim jeans! Haha.
I'm wearing all Nike here. Did any of you figure it out just by reading the title?

Bag O' Shrimps

Aside from fashion, another thing I like blogging about is food! I love trying out different restaurants, sampling their dishes, and posting my dining experiences online. Zomato, as if reading my mind, contacted me several months ago for a collaboration. I created a Zomato account and started writing restaurant reviews. In fact, I post there more often than I do here because I can't afford to bring my DSLR with me all the time. Based on experience, reading a blog post without any pictures is just plain boring, so I decided not to post those reviews here if I didn't have pictures to go with them.
The photo above shows the interiors of a quaint restaurant in Tuscany, McKinley Hill--just a few good meters from Venice Piazza--called Bag O' Shrimps. From its name, you can totally tell that their specialty is seafood, but with a twist! The seafoods are served in a bag and guests are encouraged to eat with their hands. Doesn't that sound exciting?
Read about my experience after the break.

Korea Day 1
It was my first time going to Korea last April and the first thing that surprised me was the weather. When we arrived at around twelve midnight, it was freezing! I was literally shivering while walking down the streets. Coming from a country that is scorching hot throughout the year, my body is not very used to the cold. Luckily, I packed a lot of jackets to keep me warm for the entire trip. During the day, the weather was perfect, it was like having air-conditioning outdoors. When night time came, that's when it got chilly. After a while, I got used to it and was enjoying every second outdoors! Now I'm wishing that the Philippines would have the same weather!
Here are photos from our first day. (Click the button below!)

From Music to Denim: Lee Cooper

Lee Cooper, one of the major participating brands in the Great British Festival, opened the fashion show with some exciting pieces from their newest collection. The collection featured preppy saturated hues fused with a grunge marine feel. As models walked down the runway, you couldn't help but notice the playful use of colors in their clothing, as well as some British touches here and there. The pieces are very versatile and can be styled in various ways to match everyone's style. It can go from sleek and sexy, to casual and sporty! I'm actually eyeing the orange pants worn by the model on the far right!
The Great British Festival, organized by the British Embassy, was a 3-day event held in Bonifacio High Street. There were various booths, exhibits, and activities in store for everyone, from movie screenings to football drills to live music! There was really something for everyone! The festival was designed to increase the Filipinos' awareness about UK culture, and to strengthen ties between the two countries.
