Be Skinny Drink Me

Around this time two years ago, I signed up to be a member at a gym, and I've been working out regularly ever since. I'm not working out just for the sake of having toned muscles (though I admit it's a part of it), but more of being fit and healthy. I also noticed that I tend to veer away from eating unhealthy foods, like chips, sweets, and fatty foods. I don't really avoid them, but it's like I don't like eating them as much as I used to. I guess it's part of embracing a healthy lifestyle.

So one problem I have had since I started working out is the lack of protein in my diet. My diet consists mostly of carbs (and I'm not willing to give them up even if it means having to work out more lol). But as they say, every problem has a solution, and in this case, it comes in the form of protein drinks.

One protein drink definitely stood out, the Be Skinny Drink Me. What's unique about this drink is that it's made of all-natural ingredients. And it comes in two yummy flavors: strawberry, and banana & butterscotch. As of now, I've only tried the strawberry-flavored one and so far, I've been very satisfied. It's not the best when it comes to taste, but it's pretty much acceptable. Make sure to add cold (not lukewarm, I repeat, not lukewarm) water or milk, and serve with fruits for extra yumminess!

Providing only 92  calories, this protein drink is designed as a meal replacement for those who want to lose weight. It contains glucomannan, a natural fiber that swells in the tummy to keep you feeling full. In my case, I don't want to lose weight (in fact, I need to gain some), so I use it as a post-workout drink. You can also add some of this when preparing food (cookies, anyone?) to increase its protein content.

Each pouch is good for 14 servings, but make sure to hurry because once opened, freshness lasts for only 30 days due to its 100% natural ingredients. Each pack also contains a scooper which is equivalent to 1 serving.

Now, it seems that everything about this drink is good, too good. So I checked the ingredients and the nutrition facts on the label, and compared them to the protein shake I used to drink before I received these products. I was totally shocked with what I found out -- the protein shake I used to drink before contains an unhealthy amount of cholesterol and fats, in contrast to Be Skinny, which has absolutely none!
