Korea Day 2

IMG_0228

On our second day, we took a ferry and spent the entire morning at Nami Island. Apparently they shot a very famous Korean show there! Well, no wonder: the whole island was a beautiful park teeming with cute animals and enchanting trees. I, being a lover of the great outdoors, relished every second in that island! (Seriously, I would really love to go camping in the mountains one of these days lol.)

We had grilled pork and chicken on the island (Korean food are just so delish!), then headed back to Seoul to do some shopping.

More tourist-y photos after the break!

A Different Side of Me

IMG_3749

Whenever I browse the blogs of fashion bloggers, I always notice that they have such expressive faces and fierce poses that make their photos look like pages taken from fashion editorials. Almost all of the time though, they're not smiling. Apparently, it has been a trend for models in fashion magazines to always look serious (dramatic, alluring, fierce, etc) and let the outfit do the talking. I, for one, was influenced by this trend and tried to do the same thing, but then I realized that it's also great to show some emotion and smiles from time to time.

So instead of my usual serious poses, here are some photos of me smiling, messing around, and having fun!

MEGA Gone Digital

IMG_9788

A blog post to start the week! Two weeks ago, Phya invited me to Mega Magazine's 21st anniversary party at Opus. This digital-themed bash was filled with lights, lasers, holograms, and LED displays for a futuristic feel. There was even a digital photo wall where our pictures were taken just before we went though the LED carpet leading to the place. There were so many people inside that we could hardly move, so we went outside for a while to get some air. We went back just in time for the program. Guess what, Phya won a Nikon camera for being best dressed! Click the link below to see her outfit. :)

Photos by Phya Pineda. Oh, and thanks Phya for letting me borrow your gold earrings! :)

Wild Child

I haven't worn this jacket ever since I bought it at H&M. The heat here in the Philippines made it literally impossible for me to wear this on a regular day. So the second I knew that I'd be going to the extremely cold SMX for fashion week, I made a mental note to myself to wear the things that I've barely worn, specially those pieces intended for colder weather. At first, I wanted to pair this jacket with my leather pants but figured that I might have a hard time walking due to my leather pants being insanely tight. I settled for this skirt instead and went match-y match-y with my wedges.

The Show

I was supposed to post this after my entry on the fashion show which I became a part of last month (this post), but I forgot. Haha. Anyway, what I wore was a sheer animal print button down over a plain spaghetti top. I wore light pieces knowing that I would be on-the-go the whole day. I was wearing a necklace with this outfit but removed it when I was having my make up done and eventually forgot to put it back on before these shots were taken. Haha. Here is another off duty look which I also wore, this time, to a photo shoot.

Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2012 Outfit

Separated the photos for the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta because they're too many, I'm afraid it will take too long when loading a page. So here's the post on my outfit!

I made sure I'm wearing something comfortable for the day. I brought a scarf just in case it became chilly, giving enough warmth and coverage but occupying just an itsy bitsy space in my bag.  I anticipated that we'll be walking a lot so I wore combat boots! It was so dusty, I went there wearing black boots and came home in brownish vintage boots (you'll notice this if you look close enough), haha! It was a fun experience, partly because of the hot air balloons and the places we've been, but mostly because of my friends! :)

Sequins + Leather + Animal Print

I'm in a rush right now. So here's an ultra short recap on how my day went:
Ayala Museum for a photo exhibit. Dinner at John and Yoko. Dessert at Bizu. Shindig Party at NBC Tent.

Enjoy the photos! Most of them were taken by Phya. Join her giveaway here! :)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Sorry if the greeting came a bit late, I was just busy with some things which you'll know soon! :) The above photo was taken on Christmas Eve with my aunts and uncles, and cousins! Our theme this year is animal print- leopard, zebra, and tiger! Different prints per family. I like how the prints turned out in the photos! We were supposed to put our hands in front, and you know, position them like claws, with the facial expression, RAWR! It's funny how each of our pose turned out differently.

And here's a photo of our family.

Blogger's United Haul

Hey guys! Just a quick post.
I'm still not that well after getting food poisoning several days ago. So to make my time at home useful, I'll share with you the photos of the things I bought during the Blogger's United 2. (And hopefully, I'll get better tomorrow.)
