Twenty Three

Time flies so fast! I can't believe I just turned a year older last Saturday! I'm truly thankful for all the blessings and opportunities I received because of this blog. That wouldn't have been possible without all of you, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you! :)

Surprise

I don't know what got into me, but I've been loving the color red recently! I wore this outfit to work. It looks pretty conservative from the front but surprisingly daring at the back because of the cutouts. I thought I could make it more work-appropriate by wearing a black tube top underneath but when I got to the office, I realized that it was still a bit too daring. I hurriedly grabbed my cardigan (which was hidden in my drawer specifically for emergency cases), and was saved from an embarrassing fashion disaster!

Flowy

I like spicing up my office wear from time to time. Veering away from the traditional button-down-and-slacks combo, I choose to invest in different kinds of skirts, as well as blouses in neutral colors. My current favorites are white, black, cream, and brown because they can be easily incorporated into my existing wardrobe. How about you, what do you keep in mind when shopping for office wear? :)

Chambray

I've been looking for a denim or chambray button-down since forever…but now I'm happy to announce that the search has ended!

There are so many denim or chambray tops to choose from in stores but it seemed like I couldn't find the perfect one for me. I almost gave up my search when one afternoon, I saw this chambray top on the shelves of Uniqlo *rejoice*! I admit, it wasn't the best, but it was good enough for me. I hurried over to it but found that they did not have my size. Sad.

The next day, in a different mall, I came upon another Uniqlo store (it was totally unplanned!). I immediately looked for the chambray top from the day before. I was expecting not to find any in my size, but there it was, in size small! I actually asked if they had a size XS to see if that one fits me better but I was told that the smallest size they carry is a small. Although even without trying on the smaller size, I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase!

Wonderful Crazy

This dress is probably one of the most overused pieces in my closet due to its versatility. It's perfect for lazy days when you're not in the mood to mix and match (like this one), as well as for days when you feel like dressing up. The dress already speaks for itself so I wouldn't want to turn the attention away from it by adding lots of details (a.k.a. accessories).

If I would style this another way, I would choose to wear it with nude pumps and fishtail braids for that neat, classy look.

Oh, you might notice that the dress has shoulder cut-outs. Really cute, in my opinion! :)

Festive

I was so delighted when I received a package from PersunMall containing this cute chiffon top. Ever since I saw it online, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it! Who would've thought that lions, pink, and green would go so well together? It's such a statement on its own, don't you think? I decided to go a bit unconventional by pairing this top with an asymmetrical skort, and I'm so happy with the result! You should try mixing and matching random pieces of clothing too, who knows, you might come up with something really interesting! :)

Skater Skirt

I've had this skater skirt for a while now but I never had the chance to wear it until this day. What I like about this skirt is that it's not your usual plain-colored skater skirt that you can find just about anywhere. The splotches of gold are a nice touch so the skirt instantly glams up any top you pair it with. I used a brightly colored necklace to complement the outfit and finished it off with a pair of nude heels to balance out the look.

Geek Chic

For those of you who don't know me personally, you might be surprised to know that I actually wear glasses. I wear them to school everyday and wear contacts only when I go out on weekends. This is the first time I posted pictures of myself wearing glasses and believe me, it took quite a while to convince myself to post these photos. For a look far from my usual, I tried experimenting by using them to complement a laid back geek chic ensemble. What do you guys think? :)

The Show

I was supposed to post this after my entry on the fashion show which I became a part of last month (this post), but I forgot. Haha. Anyway, what I wore was a sheer animal print button down over a plain spaghetti top. I wore light pieces knowing that I would be on-the-go the whole day. I was wearing a necklace with this outfit but removed it when I was having my make up done and eventually forgot to put it back on before these shots were taken. Haha. Here is another off duty look which I also wore, this time, to a photo shoot.
