Twenty Three

Time flies so fast! I can't believe I just turned a year older last Saturday! I'm truly thankful for all the blessings and opportunities I received because of this blog. That wouldn't have been possible without all of you, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you! :)

Tickle Me Pink

Pink used to be my favorite color but now I avoid it as much as possible. I find it too girly, which is totally not my style. Very few shades of pink are acceptable for me (and hot pink is definitely not one of them!). I don't want anything that's too loud or too playful, which I guess reflects my personality.

This dress is one of the few pink pieces I have in my closet. I like the very pale pink, almost white color of the lace-ish detail but of course, not as much as my blacks and whites. What do you think of the dress?

Lady on My Shirt

I'm a huge sucker for no-brainer outfits. Believe it or not, I'm very comfortable just wearing a simple top plus shorts or jeans.

Everyone can definitely pull off this look! If you feel that your top is too bulky that it hides your curves, show more skin by wearing shorts or a skirt, instead of pants. To add more oomph to your outfit, why not toss in a pair of heels? Wearing heels in the same color as your skin as well as those without ankle straps gives the illusion of longer, leaner legs.

When the Wind Blows

One of the things I've been meaning to tell you guys is that I dyed my hair. Yep, I did it myself! I was quite surprised at how it turned out, actually. Amidst all the craziness at school, I didn't know how I found the time to buy a box of hair dye and wait for an hour or so after application, when I was supposed to be studying for a major exam! Whew! I was pretty satisfied with the result though. It looks very natural (except outdoors where the color looks extremely vibrant, especially under the sun) and even looks like my original hair color at night. You can check out my previous posts to see how it faired under the different lighting conditions. :)

P.S. The hair dye I used was Etude House in Mocha Pink. Comment if you've also tried the product. :)

Skater Skirt

I've had this skater skirt for a while now but I never had the chance to wear it until this day. What I like about this skirt is that it's not your usual plain-colored skater skirt that you can find just about anywhere. The splotches of gold are a nice touch so the skirt instantly glams up any top you pair it with. I used a brightly colored necklace to complement the outfit and finished it off with a pair of nude heels to balance out the look.

That Night

Here are some photos from my sister's party. I found it really hard to shoot with my new lens at night--decent pictures won't come out of it! The only option was to use flash, and I absolutely hate what it does to the lighting on people. So I decided to just wait for the official photos. For the meantime, here are some photos of my outfit! If memory serves me right, the event started at around 8 in the evening and ended at about 11. We had to clean up afterwards so we got home at around 1 am. My parents stayed even later to finish cleaning up so they got home much, much later. I would have stayed overnight at the hotel if not for my 7 am class the next day. Anyway, it was a great evening filled with fun and laughter. It was wonderful seeing family and friends in just one room. An amazing night, indeed. :)

Girly Girl

I don't usually like seeing the color pink on my wardrobe except for this particular shade. I find them too loud and girly for my taste. Probably the same reason why I'm not that into colorful pieces. Yes, I do buy some occasionally when I'm in the mood but I don't see myself wearing those in an everyday basis. In the end, I stick to where I'm comfortable at- neutrals. I believe these colors are must-haves in a girl's wardrobe because they're so easy to mix and match and they don't usually get outdated. Do you guys agree? :)

P.S. My face looks so shiny in these photos cause I forgot to put powder after applying sunblock. Teehee! :)
