Blending In

IMG_4554

So, I was very much surprised when my sister gave me this dress as a gift for doing well in last month's board exam. It was one of the sweetest things ever. ♥ Thanks Tricia! I immediately wore it the moment I had the chance! Hope you like the photos!

P.S. Tricia did not want to tell me where she bought the dress so I had no choice but to include only the brand of my shoes at the bottom of this post.

Oath Taking of New Pharmacists

IMG_4743

As you might already know, I took the Pharmacist Licensure Exam last month, and I'm glad to say that I did pretty well in the exam. I, along with 936 other passers, were invited to the the oath taking ceremony for new pharmacists, which was held in the Fiesta Pavilion of Manila Hotel.

I still can't believe I am now a licensed pharmacist! Compared to before, nothing really has changed, lifestyle-wise. Well, aside from the fact that I don't go to school anymore, everything else about me is pretty much the same. My schedule is always packed, just like before. And I still have a hard time squeezing in hobbies and doing things I enjoy (like watching TV series!!) in my day-to-day life. But I prefer this kind of life rather than doing nothing at all. I'm actually thankful that I'm busy and that I have lots of things to accomplish, because at the end of the day, nothing beats the feeling of being able to achieve something, no matter how small it may be.

Maybelline Clear Smooth 8-in-1 Skin Transformer BB Cream Review

proscons

The Maybelline Clear Smooth was the first ever BB cream I bought, and I wasn't disappointed! It provides sun protection (one of the things I look for in face products) of SPF 26. That's good enough, but I'm still not that satisfied with the SPF (Maybelline recently launched a BB cream variant that offers SPF 50 though). It effectively brightens my skin and hides minor blemishes, and also evens out my skin tone. I love how it provides a moist and dewy look, yet remains natural, as if you didn't apply anything on your face!

More details after the break.

Wonderful Crazy

IMG_4230

This dress is probably one of the most overused pieces in my closet due to its versatility. It's perfect for lazy days when you're not in the mood to mix and match (like this one), as well as for days when you feel like dressing up. The dress already speaks for itself so I wouldn't want to turn the attention away from it by adding lots of details (a.k.a. accessories).

If I would style this another way, I would choose to wear it with nude pumps and fishtail braids for that neat, classy look.

Oh, you might notice that the dress has shoulder cut-outs. Really cute, in my opinion! :)

8. Missha Signature Wrinkle Filler BB Cream SPF 37 No. 23
9. Pond's Flawless White BB Cream SPF 30 in Light

Aside from my Shu Uemura Mousse Foundation and Too Cool For School BB Foundation Lunchbox, these are the BB Cream/Foundation I have with me. They're quite a lot considering the fact that I don't wear makeup that often. Most of these were gifts or from giveaways. To tell you the truth, I haven't had the chance to try each one out because there were just too many. Plus, I have this habit of completely emptying my current bottle of makeup/beauty product before opening a new one. As of now, I've only tried the Maybelline, MAC, and Pond's BB Cream, and so far so good! I'll be posting reviews once I get to try each one out!

Which one do you want me to try next? :)

Par Vous Project

P1110542

Ever since I was a little, I've always dreamed of being good at drawing. I was in denial during my elementary years, insisting that I was too little to fully grasp the techniques of drawing. It took quite a while for it to finally dawn on me that I don't have a single creative bone in my body huhu :( So let's just leave the creative stuff to the experts, shall we?

These cards were created by my super talented artsy fartsy friend, Ina. These would be the perfect way to let your special someone feel loved on Valentine's Day. Instead of giving the usual pre-made cards you can just buy over the counter, why not get these personalized cards that would surely melt his/her heart? Just fill in the blank areas with messages, doodles, pictures or with whatever you want, and you're ready to go!
