#TheAvèneMiracle
The first time I heard about Avène was when my mom bought me a bottle of their tinted sunscreen during one of her travels to Europe. The texture was great but the color didn't suit me well. I wanted to check out the rest of their products but it wasn't possible because they weren't available in the country at that time. But now I can do exactly that because Avène has finally arrived in the Philippines!
Last March, they launched their products in the Philippines, which includes a variety of sunscreens, cleansers, creams, and lotions for various skin types. Read more about their products after the break!
Top (L-R): Avène Gentle Milk Cleanser, Avène SPF 50+ Cream
Bottom (L-R): Avène Thermal Spring Water, Avène Hydrance Optimale Light Hydrating Cream SPF 20
The Avène Gentle Milk Cleanser is an effective way to remove makeup. I place an appropriate amount on a cotton pad and use it to remove makeup before I go to sleep. It sufficiently removes eyeliner, eye shadow, and bb cream, but I haven't tried using it on waterproof mascara yet. The best thing about this product is that it makes my face feels very soft and moisturized. I definitely haven't experienced this with other makeup removers. The downside is that you have to use lots of the product at a time because it dries quickly on the cotton pad.
Since I started applying sunscreen, I've noticed my skin become considerably fairer, lighter, and healthier. I've been using Avène's SPF 50+ Cream for a while now, and I'm very happy with it so far. It's non-perfumed so I won't have to worry about any allergic reactions on my face. However, I feel a burning sensation between my nose and upper lip area after application. It goes away after a few seconds though so it's definitely tolerable.
The Avène Hydrance Optimale Light Hydrating Cream is currently my favorite skincare product! It's a moisturizing day cream that goes first in my morning skincare/makeup regimen to enhance absorption. It has a non-oily finish which makes it a perfect makeup base. Plus, it smells great!
The Avène Thermal Spring Water Spray claims to soothe irritation, redness, and itching, and works great for diaper rash, razor burn, and damaged skin. I haven't tried it long enough to see its effects, but we'll see!
Thank you PRC Inc. and Avène for sending me an invitation to the launch!
