Atkinsons: Celebrating 200 Years of Perfume Snobbery

Over a month ago, Atkinsons celebrated its arrival in the Philippines and the launch of its new fragrances with an afternoon high tea at Pangaea, City of Dreams. The place was perfectly in theme that when I entered, it felt like I was transported to England two hundred years back!

Okay before I show you photos taken during the launch, let me share a small tidbit about this brand. When James Atkinson, the founder of Atkinsons first came to London, he brought with him a rose-scented bear grease balm, aaaaaand, yes, you guessed it, a real bear!

Atkinsons currently has four captivating collections, each having a rich and unique story:

1. The Emblematic Collection - 24 Old Bond Street
James Atkinson developed a scent that King George IV loved so much that he proclaimed him the Official Perfumer to the Royal Court of England, landing Atkinsons its new headquarters at 24 Old Bond Street.

2. The Legendary Collection - Love in Idleness, The Excelsior Bouquet, Amber Empire
Three fantastic scents that withstood the test of time have been reinvented to suit Atkinsons' traditional yet trendsetting style.

3. The Oud Collection - Oud Save the King, Oud Save the Queen
Crown Prince Mohammed Ali Ibrahim of Egypt asked Atkinsons to create a scent for him using a precious ingredient: oud, the "liquid gold" of the Orient.

4. The Contemporary Collection - Rose in Wonderland, Jasmine in Tangerine, Lavender on the Rocks, Posh on the Green
Contemporary visions of iconic perfume ingredients, transforming the familiar into distinctly intriguing.

Meet the entire blogger crew who was present at the launch!

Atkinsons is available in luxury fragrance boutique Art of Scent with flagship store at Shangri-la Plaza, and shops at City of Dreams, and Resorts World Manila.
